david carson has posted a link to our recent article about design and advertising on his own website. we feel vindicated (to say the least) to have received this kind of acknowledgement of our point of view.

at 7:51 CST precisely last night (5/25)?the protomen activated an online portal to the world of act 2, their second album. 4 years in the making, the follow-up to act 1 is set many years before the events detailed in their first record. we were hired to help realize that vision for them, along with the powerful & visionary artist, john delucca.
it’s not every day that one of your favourite bands on the planet calls you & asks you to design their record sleeve. such was the case a few weeks ago when tony dematteo, the guitarist of mellowdrone, rang our number one evening and asked us if we were interested in putting together the artwork for their second LP.
needless to say we jumped at the chance and the results speak for themselves. few collaborations are more exciting & productive than those between parties with a massive amount of mutual respect and a great deal in common.
so yeah, that image above is a teaser of the full artwork which will be available in it’s final form at mellowdrone shows come june. stay tuned for updates on the subject here too, when it’s appropriate to do so.
otherwise, go listen to their jams on myspace:
they’re amazing.
here’s the poster we designed for escape from new york, the road movie we made for 65daysofstatic:
it’s a beautiful A1 (33.11 x 23.39 inches) screen print and currently only available from the band’s merch booth on tour. so check out their show dates and find yourself a copy.
kerrang! magazine this week features both a news item and a review of our 65daysofstatic road movie. we would post the review, but we don’t believe in spoiling things for people. see the movie first, form your own opinions and then see if you like what they have to say. in the meantime here’s their rad little news update on the subject:
check out this new poster we just did for the protomen. also, do try and see them, if you haven’t yet. they really are an experience like no other.
we’re stoked to receive the news that our site for the house of jackie brown just entered in at number 5 in the design charts. a huge & long overdue thank you to all involved in the creation of this site. it’s been a while since we were in the charts & it’s not something we’re about to take for granted.
here’s the promo video to support our forthcoming road movie starring 65daysofstatic. it’s for the song radio protector from their second LP, one time for all time.
the initial web presence for the beautiful and thought provoking film that will be HERE, is now live. braden king, the director, has been working closely with us as we hammer out & develop an informative online source for everything about his new film. stay tuned for more developments at this location as we close in on the film’s production schedule and begin to unravel more parts of the production.
our site for house of jackie brown has been bookmarked by a few worthy website design portals & fashion blogs. spyline, xhilarate, designaside, lifelounge, make better websites, foliostars, modern web design awards, QNT, new web pick, S5-style, wooki.es & mob living being a few of the finer ones.
