_what
film poster for the short film, blocks.
_how
producer valerie steinberg approached us to design the poster and titles for bridget moloney's short film, blocks. the film's on its way to the sundance film festival and they were looking for a way to articulate the film's darker undertones whilst keeping the poppy veneer. once again we collaborated with the brilliant photographer jeff brown, as we found a way to talk about the awkwardness of vomiting lego blocks at any given moment.

jeff photographed the film's lead actress claire coffee at one end of our studio, whilst caspar photographed wet blocks of lego in a tub at the other end. not long after the two were combined.

_what
film poster for the short film, metronome (in time).
_how
producer valerie steinberg asked that we create a poster for a short film she'd recently put together for director scott lochmus. the film plays with time and narrative structure around a musical theme. working again with long-standing collaborator jeff brown, we created a poster that touches upon these ideas in a more surrealist, metaphysical sense.

_what
film posters for the feature film, zoo.
_how
seville international commissioned us to design a poster for their forthcoming scandinavian feature film, zoo. after pitching a series of ideas they settled on two photo concepts that suggested, with a wink, what the film might be about. we turned to long-time collaborator jeff brown and put together a photoshoot here in new york that echoed certain scenes in the film.

_what
record sleeve for the nashville-based band, you drive.
_how
you drive is a new band formed by long-term collaborators of ours, makeup and vanity set, and the singer / song-writer jasmin kaset. a few months ago they approached us to create their debut album artwork. the plan for the record was to release it on vinyl. after listening to the record for some time we focussed on some lyrical fragments from the songs, and decided to make a series of still life photographs that we'd then insert into the jacket design in one form or another.

working in collaboration with the photographer, jeff brown, we sourced various objects, built a series of sets in our studio and got to work arranging and lighting things. caspar then created abstract interpretations of the same photographs and used those as counterpoint pieces throughout the layouts. the resulting package we feel speaks to the music in both direct and indirect ways.
