the filmmaker and script writer alex r. johnson has written a novel. the book is called brooklyn motto and it is set in new york city back in 1998. the book details a few days in the life of a private detective called nico kelly. after recording something he shouldn't have recorded, nico finds himself caught like a fly in the corruption and malfeasance ridden web of new york's law enforcement community.
alex sent us a copy of the book and asked that we might design the cover for it. caspar read it and sent alex a few ideas. the final cover you see here is intended to be a bit cryptic, and only reveal its real meaning the deeper you get into the book.
