_what
title sequence for the short film, ruby nell sales.
_how
myriam schroeter reached out again and asked that we might make the titles for another of artist adam pendleton's video portraits. this one was about ruby nell sales and was to make its debut at the 2022 whitney biennial.

ruby sales is a prominent civil rights activist and theologian. in the film she discusses life, love, and the american experience. the video, which served as a major highlight of the exhibition, is now archived in the permanent collection of the whitney museum of american art in NYC.

caspar worked with myriam, adam and his editor grason caldwell on an opening card and a set of end cards that typographically complimented the piece.

_what
title sequences for the short film, so we moved.
_how
producer myriam schroeter reached out and asked that we design the titles for adam pendleton's video portrait of jack halberstam. the piece was screened at MoMA as a part of a forthcoming exhibition of adam's work called, adam pendleton: who is queen?

so we moved: a portrait of jack halberstam is the latest in adam pendleton’s series of video portraits of artists, dancers, and writers. previous subjects include kyle abraham, ishmael houston-jones, lorraine o’grady, and yvonne rainer. throughout halberstam’s intellectual life, the author and gender theorist has reframed urgent questions about what pendleton refers to as “the validity of queer theory with respect to the most pressing political and social movements of the past decade.”

caspar created the titles on is laptop. at adam's request he incorporated into them the t. s. eliot poem, burnt norton, upon which the film's title was based.
