posters, flyers, logos, t-shirts and live visuals for the feature film, viena and the fantomes.
_how
set decorator and old friend pippa culpepper reached out and asked that we might make various band posters, flyers, logos, t-shirts and live visuals for gerardo naranjo's gritty, 1980s-set music drama, viena and the fantomes. the film stars dakota fanning, zoë kravitz, evan rachel wood, caleb landry jones, jon bernthal and frank dillane. the production designer on the film was anna terrazas.

naturally we leapt at the chance to do this kind of work. caspar asked various new york friends to get together at a photo studio in bushwick. he specified a dress code with guidance from pippa and then photographer jeff brown captured everyone in various poses. these included live performance, album cover and band photoshoot setups.

caspar took all the images, a selection of typefaces and some additional texts from pippa and produced various large format graphics in PDF format for printing. pippa printed everything out on location, including t-shirts, and also projected some of the graphics onto the fantomes' live performance scenes in the film. the results of all of this you can see here in various stills from the film.
