jake kolton was introduced to us by matthew puccini. he wanted a new poster for his short film, bruised fruit tastes sweeter. the film was about to have its online premiere at nobudge.com. 

we talked on the phone for a while, throwing various ideas around. the moment we mentioned this idea of making a still life with two pears, peeled, drenched and positioned as if they were having sex, jake said that was it. soon we were buying and peeling heaps of pears, and photographing the scene you see here on the poster.
