we watched the film and immediately dug it. it's a well composed and cathartic piece of work about the perils of social media. furthermore it was immediately clear it could herald an excellent poster. we presented christa with a range of ideas and she chose the one you see here.
the photographic trompe-l'œil that makes for the center piece of the poster was created using a photograph one of the actresses took of herself on her own phone. we then uploaded that photo to a cracked phone in our studio, positioned the image on the screen and manually dropped "tears" onto the screen glass. the whole arrangement was then lit, photographed, cut out and laid out as a poster.
