poster for the feature film, caverna.

directors hannah swayze and daniel contaldo asked that we might make the poster and titles for their debut feature film, caverna. the film follows two students of an experimental theater workshop in italy, as they are encouraged to blur the line between their nightmares and reality. 

we presented a series of ideas for the poster and after much discussion hannah and daniel went with the one you see here. charlotte gosch and caspar photographed their own hands in various poses in order to re-create a more demonic cat's cradle than the one seen in the film. charlotte then did all the caligraphy using a pen and ink, and ripped the black hole in the middle of the poster. caspar then drew the cyclops.

the title design took a direct lead from the poster design. you can see a small sample of that the film's trailer here.
